most effective method of securing a net in the required
position is attaching it to a wire that is tensioned
and covers the area required.
Expanding eye bolts are the main fixings for the wire,
Beam Bolts in metalwork, which should be used at net
corners and at 5 to 10 metre intervals along the wire.
Intermediate fixings should be used between the main
fixings to hold the wire tight against the structure.
Intermediate fixings are recommended at 0.3m for Sparrow,
0.5m for Starling and 1.0m centres for Pigeon and Gull
